


Community Connector- CES
Under Colorado's Children's Extensive Support (CES) Waiver, the Community Connector service is designed to assist children with developmental disabilities in integrating into their communities by accessing typical activities and resources.

What Is Community Connector?
The Community Connector service provides individual support to help children. Develop skills necessary to participate in community life. Build relationships and natural support within their residential communities. Engage in typical activities alongside peers without disabilities.
Colorado Family Caregivers. These services are tailored to each child's unique needs and are provided one-on-one in various communities.

Examples of Community Connector Activities
Activities supported by the Community Connector service may include:
Assisting a child in participating in community groups, such as Scouts or art classes.
Supporting attendance at community events or recreational activities.
Helping the child navigate public transportation or community facilities.
It's important to note that while the service covers the support provided, it does not cover the cost of admission fees, food, or other personal expenses related to the activity.
Who Can Provide Community Connector Services?
Family members, friends, or other individuals who know the child well can be hired to provide Community Connector services, provided they meet certain qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Should have relevant training or experience.
Cannot be the child's parent or legal guardian
