


In-Home Support Services Agency CFC/CHCBS/CIH/EBD
In-Home Support Services (IHSS) is a Medicaid-funded program in Colorado designed to help
individuals receive care in the comfort of their own homes. Administered by the Colorado Department
of Health Care Policy and Financing, IHSS allows family caregivers to become paid providers without
requiring a professional license.

Eligibility
To qualify for IHSS, individuals must:
o Be enrolled in Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program).
o Qualify for one of the following Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers:
o Children's Home and Community-Based Services (CHCBS) Waiver
o Elderly, Blind, and Disabled (EBD) Waiver
o Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) Waiver
o Have a demonstrated need for personal care, homemakers, or health maintenance services.
o Be able to direct their own care or have an authorized representative to do so.
Services Provided
IHSS covers a range of services, including:
o Health Maintenance Activities: Medical tasks that can be performed by non-licensed
individuals.
o Personal Care Services: Assistance with daily living activities.
o Homemaker Services: General household activities.
